Mr. Shulman is the Founder and Managing Partner of JCP. Prior to forming JCP in 2009, Mr. Shulman was a Managing Director at Allied Capital Corporation from 2001 to 2009, where he was a member of the Management and Investment Committees. Mr. Shulman currently serves on the Boards of Directors or Managers of Amerex Group LLC, Ceuta Group, Cranford Pharmaceuticals, Mitchell & Ness and Voss of Norway ASA. He is a member of the Board of the National Aquarium Institute, and is a former Board Member of Junior Achievement of Greater Washington and of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington. Mr. Shulman holds a B.S. degree in Finance from The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and he attended the London School of Economics.
Mr. Ford has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, serving in executive management roles that include operations, business and corporate development, and strategic planning. Mr. Ford’s diversified background includes biotech, drug delivery, and proprietary and generic drugs. He has served as President and COO of RTP Pharma/Skye Pharma Canada, President and CEO of Matawan Pharmaceuticals, President and CEO of Cranford Pharmaceuticals. Additionally, Mr. Ford has held senior management roles with major and mid-sized pharmaceutical companies including Boehringer lngelheim Pharmaceuticals, Mylan Laboratories and CollaGenex Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Ford received both an MBA and BS in Industrial Engineering from West Virginia University.
Mr. Lavan has over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry serving in accounting and financial roles including strategic planning, supply-chain, and budget & planning. Mr. Lavan has been successful in establishing and implementing accounting standards and financial operations procedures for small to mid-size start-up companies. Prior to Akrimax, he served as Director of Accounting Operations & Systems at Triax Pharmaceuticals, LLC, and also has spent his career with Reliant Pharmaceuticals, Integra Life Sciences & Alpharma Pharmaceuticals in numerous roles of increasing responsibility. Mr. Lavan earned a BS in Accounting from Kean University.
Mr. Gesek brings over twenty years of diverse commercial and financial experience to the table. After starting his career in Finance at Janssen Pharmaceutica, Mr. Gesek transitioned to Pharmaceutical sales and over the course of twenty years has worked in areas including: Finance, Sales, Sales Operations, Forecasting, Valuation Commercial Analytics, Business Development and Corporate Strategy in companies including Janssen, Novartis, Pharmacia & Upjohn, Wyeth, Pfizer, Endo, & BTG. Prior to taking on the role at Timm Medical, Mr. Gesek served as Vice President, Commercial Operations and Business Strategy & General Manager, Established Brands Portfolio for Endo Pharmaceuticals. Where he worked closely with the President of the Branded Pharmaceuticals business to set, measure and refine the strategy for the business unit while leading a team of 20 people who provided operational support to the business. Mr. Gesek is a graduate of Drexel and the Wharton School of Business.
Mr. Boctor has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, across a wide array of functions including brand and portfolio marketing, sales channel optimization, product portfolio strategy development and new product launches. Mr. Boctor has driven significant revenue growth for mainstream Men’s Health product lines, rare/orphan disease therapeutics, and substance abuse rescue modalities. Mr. Boctor has worked for companies such as Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, Endo Pharmaceuticals and Adapt Pharmaceuticals (Emergent Biosolutions). Mr. Boctor has his BA in International Relations from Hamline University, Masters in Diplomacy from Norwich University and his MBA from the University of Manchester Business School.
